10 Cheap DIY Christmas Garlands

I love garlands!

They make a huge impact without taking up a lot of space, and they are wonderful for just about any occasion.

I’ve been searching for the internet for some great DIY for our upcoming family photos for our Christmas cards.

Here are some of my absolute favorites – just click on the photo and it will take you back to the original tutorial.

1. Ornament Garland

Jenny Dixon created this cute one with her 4 year old. This is the most expensive of the bunch, but it is still cheap for the look you get.

2. Tassel Garland

I love the thought of hanging this one on a Christmas tree.

3. Pine Cone Garland

I know there are so many different pine cone garlands out there, but this one is my very favorite. It takes a bit of extra work, but I think the end product is amazing. Also the fact that there is felt on the back of each pine cone keeps it from scratching furniture.

4. Pom Pom Garland

How cute is this one? If you click over to her blog, you’ll see it hung on her Christmas tree.

5. Circle garland

I feel like this is one of the more popular ones on pinerest because of how diverse it is. My favorite take on it was a whole bunch of these hanging vertically from a window. The circles were all white and it looked like snow. What a beautiful yet modern way to have your own “white” Christmas.

6. Advent Garland

7. Mini Cone Garland

I love how beautiful and simple this garland is. Can you just imagine them as a whole bunch of little Christmas trees? Though I must say I am a bit partial to the blue.

8. Candy Cane Garland

9. Grapevine Garland

I love rustic garlands in the living room. I think it just makes them a lot more cozy.

10. Metal Garland

I love how shiny this one is! Be careful though, it’s not baby proof.

I hope this list inspired you to start crafting for Christmas (even if you don’t hang them until after Thanksgiving).
