Chocolate Caramel Butterscotch Fudge

I had this recipe last night that called for 1 tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk and I was like, what the heck do I do with the rest of the can?? I didn’t want to waste it… so I did my research online and found a perfect way to not only save the milk, but savor it, as a fudge! I added in the chocolate and butterscotch chips on my own and it turned out AMAZING! This recipe gives you a rich and creamy decadent fudge, that when melted, turns into a sweet sauce that you can pour over any desserts like brownies, ice cream, etc., or you can even dip apple slices in it for the perfect caramel apple combination that your taste-buds will totally covet! And not to mention its PERFECT to give as a Christmas gift to a neighbor, teacher, or close friend. Here’s how I made it:

Chocolate Caramel Butterscotch Fudge


1 can sweetened condensed milk

5 tablespoons butter

5 tablespoons brown sugar

pinch of salt

1 tsp white sugar

about 15 semi-sweet chocolate chips

about 15 butterscotch chips


In a small saucepan, melt (on medium-low temperature) and simmer butter and stir in sugars until they form a smooth liquid.

Add condensed milk and raise the temperature very gently until it starts to simmer. Keep the temperature low and stir continuously until brown (This should take around 20 minutes). Slowly stir in salt.

Stir in chocolate and butterscotch chips until melted.

Pour into mason jar and decorate.

To serve: remove lid from mason jar. Microwave caramel for increments of 5-8 seconds until desired creaminess. Pour over your favorite dessert.
